A brief Word about Adoration(Worship):
It’s written let all that has breath praise the LORD. Now, this speaks of those who have the Breath of God, the Holy Spirit, in them. It’s also written that we were made for Him, to show forth His praise(Isaiah 43:21). More so, it’s written that God is a Spirit, and those that worship Him, must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth(John 4:23-24). Amen? There’s something above and beyond electrifying of God’s Presence: for in His Presence is fulness of joy; at His right hand there are pleasures for evermore(Psalm 16:11); amen?
A step further: Hebrews 13:15 says,
“15 By him(Jesus) therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”
Firstly, we have to offer ourselves, by the mercies of God, that ‘s by presenting our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service(Romans 12:1), before we can offer the fruit of our lips: that is, rendering thanks to God genuinely.
The Presence of God is sweet…or, better still, the Glimpse of His Glory that we’ve experienced is sweet. It’s beyond words…and if we try to describe it, we all end up defining It “SWEET” in our earthly language. In His Presence, you perceive entirely His liquid Love flowing in you…all around you. His Presence is full of Joy; and the Joy of the LORD is our strength! His Presence is tender and kind. Oh, that’s wherein we ever ought to abide: in His Presence.
Worship is simply expounded in these 2 verses, in Colossians 3:16-17:
“16 Let the word of Christ(Revelation of the Living Word)) dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
Worship is effective ONLY when revelation of the Living Word is at work in you. Until Christ is revealed to you by the Spirit, your words of praise and adoration are empty: for it’s written, the flesh profiteth nothing, but the Spirit giveth life. The Words I speak to you, Jesus said, they are Spirit and they are Life. When the Spirit of God unveils the Word to you, you can worship God indeed. Everything you are, becomes aligned to the reason why you were created: that is, to live according to His will, doing whatever you do and say, in reverence of Him, giving thanks to Him. Amen?
- What revelation do you have of God?
- Who’s He to you?
- Why do you adore Him?
It’s only when the scrolls are opened by the Spirit, then your eyes of understanding shall be enlightened, then you are enabled & equipped to worship God indeed, in Spirit and in Truth(Revelation).
Pray that the Holy Spirit shall reveal Christ to you, that the knowledge of God shall abound to you-wards and shall dwell richly in you, so that you shall worship Him in Truth and in Spirit all the way in Jesus’ name, amen. Shalom!
RHEMA: our lives should be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto the LORD. The way we live should be unto the LORD: that’s true worship(and the LORD delights in such), which brings forth true praise and thanksgiving, acceptable and perfect unto the LORD.
