Jeremiah 15:16(NLT) says,

‘When I DISCOVERED your words, I DEVOURED them.

They are my joy and my heart’s DELIGHT,

For I bear your name…’

   Calvary greetings to you dear ones in Christ! Today, we will see briefly into, what I call, the three-Ds of God’s Word; which are:

a). DISCOVER IT: it’s all about finding out the promises of God for you by searching thoroughly thru the Scriptures as led by the Spirit; it entails doing a diligent search in the Word of God to DISCOVER what God has freely given to you as His heir by the revealing power of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth;

b). DEVOUR IT: Upon discovering a certain promise of God for you [in His Word], you ought to DEVOUR it ’cause It Is food for your spirit (for ‘man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God). This is the principal stage in the absorption of God’s Word: it’s when you ‘eat’ the Word by meditation: you mutter It, you keep saying it until it’s well digested by and in your spirit [by the help of the Holy Spirit who guides into all truth]. Then, you shall be renewed and strengthened [for it stirs up your faith];

c). DELIGHT IN IT: The digested Word gives birth to FAITH (Rom. 10:17),JOY and strength, no wonder Nehemiah 8:10b says,’…the joy of the Lord is your strength.’ When your spirit is saturated with the revealed Word of God, you Are refreshed and quickened, energized and satisfied. Alleluia!

Today, go for the Word, for Proverbs 24:14 says:

So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast FOUND it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.”

  When you find a Word in God’s Word (that is, when you discover and devour It), your desires therein will come to pass (born by the incorruptible, digested and unerring Word in you), alleluia!
